Hyde Park Creative: Meet in Modern Elegance in a Historic Austin Neighborhood

Our top Haymaker space in Hyde Park is a historic yet newly renovated space, blending its original classic Craftsman-style aesthetics with today’s modern elegance and amenities. Built in 1894, Hyde Park Creative is one of the original office developments in what is often considered to be Austin’s first suburb, and today the space offers three individual conference rooms or the entire first floor for rent.

From a simple one-on-one touch base to a day-long offsite with break-out sessions, Hyde Park Creative has the flexibility, functionality, and beautiful, inspiring spaces to match any meeting needs. Let us show you how the neighborhood vendors, activities, and catering options can enhance your day at Hyde Park Creative, leading to a memorable, local, one-of-a-kind meeting experience.

Welcome to your day at Hyde Park Creative.

Breakfast can be set-up in the kitchenette…  perfect for serving meals.

Anything is better with breakfast, and Tacodeli’s breakfast tacos have been making life, and meetings, better since 1999. With its famous Cha Cha (horchata and cold brew) and handcrafted tacos made with locally sourced ingredients, this classic taqueria meets Austin vibes spot is a must-eat.

Baked goods more suited to your palate? Check out Quack’s 43rd Street Bakery, the brand’s flagship location offering scratch-made natural items like their sugared cinnamon rolls, vegan chocolate muffin, and pumpkin tea bread. With locally roasted coffee and espresso, even your coffee snobs will be satisfied. Pro-tip: Baked goods are first come, first serve each day so make your order early!

Once you arrive at Hyde Park, you’ll enter the large, bright lobby. With three separate conference rooms or the entire first floor available to rent, Hyde Park Creative offers a library/reading nook, kitchenette with coffee bar, mini-fridge and sink, and a spare room, perfect for serving meals.

Enjoy three well-equipped conference room options, with seating for six to fourteen.

Enjoy your breakfast as a team in the spare room, then break out into one of the three conference rooms.
  • “Charming” comfortably seats six guests and includes an Apple TV, conference phone, and views of the hidden garden.
  • “Refreshing” comfortably seats six guests and includes an Apple TV, conference phone, and whiteboard.
  • “Stunning XL” comfortably seats 14 guests and includes an Apple TV, conference phone, and multiple whiteboards.

When it’s time for a lunch break, stretch your legs and walk the half mile to FoodHeads, a local sandwich cafe located in an old Craftsman-style house in Gypsy Grove. Owned by high school sweethearts Chip and Candi Wendt, FoodHeads only uses Vital Farms eggs from free-roaming veg-fed hens, and the best quality meats, cheeses, and fresh baked breads in their extensive menu of tasty sandwiches, soups, and salads. No time for a walk? FoodHeads offers convenient catered box lunches that can be delivered directly to Hyde Park Creative.

Interested in something a little outside the (lunch) box? Sa-Tén on Airport Blvd is a Japanese “Kissaten” concept-influenced coffee shop specializing in espresso drinks and teas along with Japanese cafe concept food items such as savory toasts, chicken karage and katsu, and curries. Pro Tip: Order a couple of family meals, which include a selection of their best menu items, to share.

Post-meeting activities include a mouth-watering cheese tasting from a locally-owned, nationally-renowned cheese monger.

Once you’ve finished up your afternoon meetings, it’s time for a little local team-building fun. Antonellis Cheese Shop, a family-run business serving Austin since 2010, offers corporate experiences ranging from events in their 100-year-old cheese house, to a Cheese-y Bus Tour, to an on-site 1-4 hour tasting at Hyde Park Creative. They’ll help you create the perfect tailored experience, complete with drink pairings with a local cidery or brewery.

The cherry on top of your perfect day – a memorable dinner with your team.

Finish off the day with dinner at Olive and June. Featuring fresh handmade pasta and the largest and most diverse selection of Italian wine, Amari, and Grappa in Austin, the restaurant is in a 3-story building enveloped by a 200-year-old oak tree with four different dining areas inside and out.

To give your team a dinner experience they will not soon forget, consider Fonda San Miguel. From the moment you walk through their large hand-crafted wooden doors, into their atrium filled with plants and trees, you are transported to a “colonial-era hacienda.” Open since 1975, Fonda San Miguel was the first restaurant in Texas to focus exclusively on authentic regional cuisine from Mexico’s interior and coastal culinary epicenters. Try the hand-crafted margaritas, queso fundido, rellenos, cocinita pibil and save room for crepas cajetas, tres leches, and flan de almendra.

And, that’s a wrap on your team off-site at Hyde Park Creative!
