Today we are profiling new Haymaker hosts Joey and Cait Kelly. Their space, the Luxurious Retreat in Central Austin, is located in the Crestview neighborhood of Austin. As the name notes, it truly is a luxury space.  With flexible seating, indoor and outdoor lounge space, and a bonus of a pool, this gorgeous light-filled home is just the space to treat your team or clients to a top-notch meeting experience.

Tell us about yourselves.
Hello! We are a husband and wife duo that had the privilege of building a custom home in Central Austin and we love hosting! I (Joey) grew up in Austin and Cait has lived all over the country. We both left our corporate jobs in 2022 to run our short-term rental management company, RadPads, full-time together. We love being active and playing with our toddler.

Tell us about your space.
The home is custom-designed in a boutique style that is perfect for high-end meetings and team retreats. The indoor and outdoor living spaces have been designed with intention, creating the perfect setting for both work and play. You can host meetings at the dining table, which doubles as an indoor/outdoor conference room, equipped with a TV monitor and large whiteboard for presentations. The dining area features 8 chairs, 6 kitchen island stools, and an adjacent outdoor patio that can seat an additional 8 people comfortably. The downstairs area, which is available for meetings and retreats, includes a separate office space with 2 desks and monitors, perfect for private meetings. The open-concept layout includes the living room, dining room, and kitchen, as well as an additional “flex” room with a sofa, TV, and en suite pool bathroom. 

What kind of meetings/events have you hosted in the past? Why is hosting to a business audience appealing to you? Past bookings have included executive dinners, small events/parties, networking events, product launches, and photo/video shoots.  We are looking to reach a new audience with Haymaker!

What is unique about your space? It’s custom designed with quality selections and finishes. There indoor-outdoor feel with multiple large sliding doors to a large patio with a giant swing creates a uniquely cool vibe. The space also features 4 lounge chairs by the pool, allowing for a balance of work and relaxation. Tell us about the location of your space. We are located in the Crestview neighborhood which is about 10 minutes north of downtown. The Anderson Lane/Burnet intersection is nearby and has a plethora of amazing restaurants that are great for catering or takeout! If you were to work remotely from your space, where would you set up? The large back patio, kitchen island, or the office up front!
